As is tradition, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra invites its audience to spend the end of 2023 in New Year's Eve concerts filled with sparkling music. We will welcome 2024 with opuses by French composers specially prepared by Maestro Jean-Claude Casadesus, taking the listeners on an elegant, swirling adventure to celebrate the festive season. The brilliant Latvian violinist Kristīne Balanas will join the orchestra on stage to perform works by Ernest Chausson and Camille Saint-Saëns. The orchestra will then delight with Berlioz's effervescent overture Le carnaval romain, followed by impressionistic colours in works by Ravel and Debussy, and, in the finale,  Stravinsky's magnificent suite from the The Firebird ballet.
