On August 19, global trendsetters in the Balkan music genre and real musical hooligans and virtuosos from Germany — Shantel & the Bucovina Club Orkestar will perform on the stage of the Dzintari concert hall. They participate in the largest festivals with their performances and gather thousands of stadiums around the world, and now they promise to give a great mood to everyone who attends a concert in Jurmala.

A true cosmopolitan and brilliant artist with Greek-Ukrainian roots, Shantel (Stefan Hantel) combines elements of the brightest dance styles and incendiary Balkan motifs in his compositions, delighting even the most sophisticated listeners. It is simply impossible to sit still — Shantel and his band the Bucovina Club Orkestar create music that literally sparkles with energy, blurring the boundaries between styles, and giving anyone who comes into contact with it a feeling of euphoria and absolute freedom.

A charismatic crossover of punk rock, reggae, Greek, Romanian and Ukrainian wind music traditions, “flavoured” with German electronics. So in a few words one could describe the genre diversity of what Shantel creates with his virtuoso team Bucovina Club Orkestar. Their remix of the composition Mahalageasca (Bucovina Dub) not only became the main hit of the satirical comedy Borat, but to this day remains relevant for all fans of incendiary music.
