30th Star Festival. Vineta Sareika and LNSO

The Latvian violinist Vineta Sareika is the first violin in the world-famous and critically acclaimed Artemis Quartet, and she has just joined one of the best symphony orchestras in Europe, the Berlin Philharmonic.

Vineta Sareika's international career began on a large scale in 2009, when she won the Queen Elizabeth International Violin Competition. Since then, the musician, as a soloist, has been invited to collaborate with outstanding orchestras and conductors around the world and plays in famous concert halls from Carnegie Hall in New York to Isumi Hall in Osaka.

In 2010, she also won the Latvian Grand Music Award in the category "For Outstanding Interpretation".

At the 30th Liepaja International Star Festival, Vineta Sareika together with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra will play Johannes Brahms' Violin Concerto in the remorse.

The concert will also feature the premiere of Andris Dzenītis' 2nd symphony "Warm wind". 

The works by Andris Dzenītis have been performed both in Latvia and around the world. Many world-famous ensembles and soloists have included them in their repertoire, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Belgian and Latvian National Symphony Orchestras, conductors Karel Mark Chichon, Andris Nelsons, the Latvian Radio Choir, the Sinfonietta Riga Orchestra and many more.
