AUNT KLAVA’S KISS

Themed on V. Jerofeyev's poem "Moscow – Roosters".

From the distance of the star of Bethlehem, everything really seems nonsense, Venichka is right. In the builders' wagon, during the three winter months of 1969, he managed to cover this distance in words, telling about an inspired drinker trying to get to the sky Roosters from Moscow in the morning of a hangover. Because his path of torture is inexpressible, Venedikt Jerofeyev speaks of it indirectly, circumventing himself, throwing into long literary deviations and changing the narrative style, ridiculing the serious and crying about the funny – just to find a corner where there is no room for challenges, a place where people would have mercy. Needless to say, you can't find one in the world, and even angels seem rough from the distance of Venichka's suffering.
