5TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT OF THE CONCERT HALL

The fifth anniversary celebration program of the concert hall Great Amber will present episodes of Liepāja classical music, highlight its brightest personalities and world-class stars with a symphonic magnitude.

The concert will honor the most prominent past century musicians of this city – conductor Arvīds Jansons and opera singer Iraīda Jansone, soloist of Liepāja Opera Mariss Vētra, composer Alfrēds Kalniņš, Imants Resnis, and other brilliant personalities.

The audience will enjoy the historical sound experience and embark on the retrospective journey together with pianist Agnese Egliņa, soprano Margarita Vilsone, and tenor Artjoms Safronovs.

The citizens of Liepāja have always taken pride in their global reach, and the second part of today’s concert will not leave out the pinnacle of Romantic music – Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, performed by 19-year-old Swedish-born violinist Daniel Lozakovich.

Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will be on stage for the entire concert. Behind the conductor’s stand — Head Conductor of the LSO Gintaras Rinkevičius.
