“Essential listening!!!" — Jazz News

Danish-French violinist and composer Line Kruse has stepped out into a light of her own and constantly plays with musical boundaries. Adopted by the community of South American musicians upon her arrival in Paris, she has performed with the likes of Argentinian percussionist Minino Garay, Cubans band “Sabor A Son”, as well as the famous “Gotan Project”. Line Kruse leads two 19-piece ensembles, the “Dansk7” septet and a 14-string “BowLines” ensemble, as well as the “Line Kruse Orchestra”, which is a jazz big band.
Powerful rhythms and lyrical simplicities are the basis s of this varied form of music, which h is both intimate and extrovert. Apollo’s harmonious ideal and Dionysus' bursting joy find common ground under the clear lines of Line Kruse's violin.

Audiences will have the pleasure to hear Line’s and Latvian Radio Big Band’s interpretation of pieces from her albums “Hidden Stones” and “Invitation” – both programmes merge the best of rhythmical Latin, classical and jazz music, as well as uses instruments and sounds that are not typical to jazz music.
