The string section musicians of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra,
the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, and the LNSO will all meet on the
same stage. Led by conductor Guntis Kuzma, you will hear the enchanted
wisdom of Lithuanian composer Šerkšnytė, latticed symbols by Latgalian
soundsmith Ivanovs, and Pärt striking ritual bells. In the second part, LNSO’s
concertmaster Georg Sarkisjan will be the leader in the performance of
Tchaikovsky’s Serenade, which embodies the intricate ideals of Russia’s Silver
Age. The famous waltz will carry you away.
