Vassily Sinaisky is returning to Riga again, and he will conduct Ivanovs’s
unfinished Symphony no. 21, which he also premiered once upon a time.
In addition, you will hear Prokofiev’s succinct, marvellous Piano Concerto
no. 1 with Cuban-born pianist, rising star Jorge González Buajasán who
was educated in Paris. In part two, Elgar’s musical depiction of his friends
in variations on an own theme Enigma, with the popular variation Nimrod
taking centre stage.
