LeNeSOns has opened his sheet music notebook. The work is Tchaikovsky’s
The Seasons, a set of pieces for the piano. He wrote them for the once popular
Russian magazine Nouvellist so that its readers could enjoy a new short piece
for the piano every month. The topic of the pieces would match the current
season: there is the song of the lark, there are snowdrops and starlit nights, as
well as harvest, autumnal hunting and a wintry journey in a troika – a sleigh
pulled by a trio of horses.
