At the end of May when the colour and smell of lilac vortex has reached its maturity in and whirls everyone's minds, all lilac beauty and music lovers are invited to meet in Dobele.

For the 16th time at garden of the Institute of Horticulture, where the largest Latvian lilac plantation, as well as one of the largest collections in the world of lilac can be found, at culmination of lilac festive on the 27th of May a classical music concert with the most beautiful opera arias and neopolitan love songs and poetry will take place at the garden.

At the very heart of the lilac garden under the blue sky of Zemgale the splendid melodic music will be performed by these great musicians -Kristīne Zadovska, Miervaldis Jeņčs, Jūlija Vasiljeva, Laura Grecka, Mihails Čuļpajevs, Kalvis Kalniņš, Latvijas Nacionālā Simfoniskā orķestra mūziķu grupa Raimonda Ozola vadībā, pie klavierēm Laila Holberga.

Before the concert visitors are invited to experience the magic of lilac sat the garden of Institute of Horticulture. Concert tickets are also valid for the garden visit and for the visit of breeders Pēteris Upītis memorial museum, in which all the guest will have the chance to see Māris Subačs exhibition "Garden of ideas" and watch directors Herz Franks documentary about Pēteris Upītis "The Joy of Being."

Upon presentation of a concert ticket, on May 27th, visitors can visit the garden all day long. From 16.00 the entrance to the garden will be possible only with the concert tickets. Entrance tickets, seats are not numbered. Seats will be available, but not guaranteed –visitors are advised to take their own blankets with them.
Entrance for preschool children is free of charge.
