LNSO VASARNĪCA 2023 / LNSO SUMMER FESTIVAL 2023

The LNSO Summer Festival for family and friends returns for the fourth time to the heart of the Latgale region, Rēzekne, and on 19 and 20 August will fill the welcoming premises of Latgale Embassy GORS with chatter, bustle and above all – music. There will be something for both symphonic and chamber music lovers of all ages. Families are invited to meet the Sleeping Beauty in GORS' hallways; youngsters will have the opportunity to observe life on social networks from the outside in a contemporary dance performance with music by Rihards Zaļupe; for academic music connoisseurs and enthusiasts, this year we offer Strauss, Stravinsky, Schumann, Brahms, and many more. The festival will be attended by the extravagant London pianist James Sherlock , while Tarmo Peltokoski, Music and Artistic Director of the LNSO, will be at the piano for the first time on a Latvian stage.

Locals and visitors will hear narrators Liene Jakovļeva, Jānis Skutelis and Artūrs Putniņš, see dancers Alise Bokaldere, Ģirts Bisenieks, Artūrs Nīgalis, and listen to the musicians of the LNSO under the baton of Tarmo Peltokoski, Jānis Stafeckis, and Raimonds Gulbis.

Festival is financially supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation.
