Series “Cinema and Theatre Music” is created as a heartfelt conversation with popular and beloved composers about the music they composed for legendary theatre plays and movies of the 20th century. During the concerts we meet not only the composers but also movie actors, musicians and singers that composers have developed close cooperation with. The intrigue of the series of concerts is not to disclose the names of the participating guest artists.

In 2019, Dzintari Concert Hall and Ojārs Rubenis started a new series of concerts “Cinema and Theatre Music”. Up to now six concerts have been organised where the audience was able to meet composers Raimonds Pauls, Jānis Lūsēns, Imants Kalniņš, Zigmars Liepiņš, Valts Pūce and Uldis Marhilevičs. Mysterious guests of concerts were popular artists such as Intars Busulis, Renārs Kaupers, Latvian Radio Big Band, Dināra Rudāne, Carnival Youth, Autobuss debesīs, Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, Annija Putniņa, Amber, Ance Krauze and many others, also promising lots of surprises to the visitors of the following concerts.
