Musical performance “Chronicles of current time” premiered globally in Amsterdam in June of this year. It is a musical collaboration between Gidon Kremer and the Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov. It is created as a contrast between the artist and the ruling power and dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Mieczysław Weinberg. The musical structure of the “Chronicles of current time” is inspired by the works of Mieczysław Weinberg, specially selected by Gidon Kremer for this performance.  In turn, three Russian artists created the visual part of the performance. Under the supervision of K. Serebrennikov. This will be a story of the power and limitations imposed on creative freedom - a problem that was topical not only in the Soviet Union, but also in the modern world.
