Kremerata Baltica Festival. Kremer, Bach and Apkalna

Although Johan Sebastian Bach did not visit Latvia, he would take delight in hearing and seeing the scope, force and capacity Iveta Apkalna uses to enliven the sounds he composed with her flashing fingers and feet.  This will be a rare opportunity to hear the live performance of the first piece of Ēriks Ešenvalds composed for organs five years ago – concert “Voice of the Ocean”, inspired by the famous Toccata in D Minor by Bach, as well as to be one of the first to hear the first performance of the composition by Andris Dzenītis dedicated to Gidon Kremer and the orchestra Kremerata Baltica; a composition inspired by the beautiful autumnal scenery of Leipzig. In the third part of the concert - truly nightly chamber music provided by the team-work of the masterly soloists of Kremerata Baltica.
