Rhododendron night rhapsody

At the height of rhododendron flowering, on May 31 and June 1, upon nightfall, the rhododendron garden "Babīte" will come alive during the mood and sensation event "The Rhododendron Night Rhapsody". It will invite you on a journey of colours and aromas letting you bathe into the waves of rhododendron blossoms and enjoy the notes of acoustic music.

To fully enjoy the stroll amongst the clouds of blossoming colours one does not have to be specially prepared; you just have to open your eyes and take in the magic of flowers!

In the outskirts of Riga, in a corner of a pine forest, an exceptional garden blooms each spring - the largest rhododendron nursery in the Baltics, "Babīte". White, pink, purple, orange and red rhododendrons bloom there up to the height of even 5 meters, in the area of 12 hectares. The garden transforms into a breath-taking gift of the nature that enthrals with the scent of its blossomy waves and excites the senses as the day calms down.

This natural beauty must be seen! Let's light up the lanterns and embark on a marvellous journey through the rhododendron garden together with the music band TirkīzBand and its young musicians. Under the cover of darkness, we will watch how the pond of the rhododendron garden comes to life and how the little Paris lights up. We will indulge in snoozy sensations in hammocks and will listen to the mellow play of a sax. The little visitors to the garden will also be met with exciting activities.

Don't leave your summer blankets at home and enjoy a picnic under the clouds of blossoms with the restaurants Terra and Čarlstons. BIKI deserti and City coffee will help to enjoy the sweetness of the sugar blossoms.

The sensation event "The Rhododendron Night Rhapsody" will take place on May 31 and June 1 from 19:00 to 24:00.

Children up to the age of six (including) and people with disabilities are admitted for free.

• the road from Babīte, in the direction of Vārnukrogs ~ 200m.
