Christmas is a time of miracles, joyful encounters with your loved ones, it’s time for pleasant gifts. At that point, we especially crave for spiritual warmth and pacification, and enchanting music sounding under the arches of the majestic Dome Cathedral has been able to penetrate the very depths of our hearts filling them with joy. Fitly, Inessa Galante Foundation has been giving its "Christmas Prelude" to the citizens and guests of the capital for many years.
This time a festive concert will take place in the Dome Cathedral, on December 8 at 19:00. An incredible evening with the favorite musicians awaits you, as well as the meeting a charming singer and inspirer of the event, Inessa Galante.

Prominent Latvian musicians will participate in the concert: one of the brightest performers of baroque music, countertenor, Sergei Egers, world-renowned composer and organist Aivars Kalejs, as well as a virtuoso pianist and a laureate of prestigious international competitions Andrej Osokin.

Traditionally, at the Inessa Galante Foundation’s evening the new stars will be born, young bright talents will perform on stage along with the renowned musicians: the laureates of the annual "Inessa Galante Talents” and the boys choir of Jāzepa Mediņa 1st Music School conducted by Roman Vanags.

And, of course, listeners will enjoy a performance of the festival’s muse. A gentle, strong and soulful Inessa Galante’s soprano known for her incredible pianissimo, will not leave anyone indifferent, both those who get acquainted with her for the first time and those admiring the opera diva’s talent for years.

But this won’t be the end of musical gifts, more pleasant surprises will be in store for the audience, and the unforgettable atmosphere of the evening will fill the guests’ souls with the joy of much awaited brightest holiday, Christmas.
