The LNSO piano trio honours its fifth anniversary by performing in an ensemble of five, performing Schubert’s Trout Quintet, a brilliant piece of humanly love that you can listen to over and over again. Newly appointed second principal viola Pēteris Trasuns and LNSO principal double bass Oskars Bokanovs will join the members of the trio. We will also hear a new work by Platon Buravicky – written by a modernist, but accessible to anyone; and the four seasons cycle by the Buenos Aires tango grandmaster Piazzolla. The trio frequently performs in milonga gatherings, and they are tango to the bone.
