Sergei Dogadin is the winner of ten international competitions, including:

2011 - XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition – Second Prize (First prize not awarded) and the Audience Prize (Russia)
2015 - IX Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition Hannover - First Prize (Germany)
2018 - Singapore International Violin Competition - First Prize (Singapore)

Since making his major debut in 2002 at the St.Petersburg Philharmonie under Vasily Petrenko and the St.Petersburg Philharmonic orchestra, Dogadin has performed on world’s most renowned venues such as Golden Hall of the "Musikverein" in Vienna, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, "Herkules-saal" in Munich, "Concertgebouw" in Amsterdam, "Suntory Hall" in Tokyo, "Festspielhaus" in Baden-Baden, Symphony Hall in Shanghai, "Auditorio Nacional" in Madrid, "Tonhalle" in Zurich and Dusseldorf, collaborated together with London Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, NDR Radiophilharmonie, English Chamber Orchestra, "Kremerata Baltica" Chamber Orchestra, Munich Kammerorchester, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre as well as other foreign and Russian orchestras.
Many of Dogadin’s performances have been broadcasted worldwide - on Mezzo classic(France), «Medici.tv», European Broadcasting Union(EBU), BR Klassic, WDR and NDR Kultur(Germany), YLE Radio(Finland), NHK(Japan), BBC(UK), Polish Radio, Estonian and Latvian Radio.

He has collaborated with such prominent conductors as Yury Temirkanov, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazi, Vladimir Spivakov, Manfred Honeck, Muhai Tang, and shared the stage with outstanding musicians like Elisabeth Leonskaja, David Geringas, Denis Matsuev, Daniil Trifonov and others.

Dogadin had studied in the most famous and significant musical institutions: at the St.Petersburg Conservatory (with Prof. Vladimir Ovcharek), at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad (with Prof. Maxim Vengerov), at the High School of Music in Cologne (with Prof. Mihaela Martin) and at the University of Music in Graz (with Prof. Boris Kuschnir).

Since 2017 Sergei Dogadin is a guest professor at the Liangzhu International Arts Academy (China). Currently, Sergei improves his skills with Prof. Boris Kuschnir at the Music and Arts University in Vienna.

Sergei Dogadin has enjoyed the honor of performing on Niccolo Paganini’s and Johann Strauss’s violins. At the moment he plays the Domenico Montagnana violin (Venice, 1721) provided by "The Rin Collection" (Singapore).

CHAMBER ORCHESTRA SINFONIETTA RIGA

Youthful fervour and vitality, thirst for knowledge and professionalism of the highest level, excellent work and enthusiasm – this is the formula for the State Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga, one of the most renowned orchestras in the Northeastern Europe. Since the foundation in 2006, Normunds Šnē is its Artistic Director and Chief Conductor. The musicians of Sinfonietta Rīga are young and open to creative challenges – they are studying the traditions of Baroque music performance and Classical music interpretation nuances; they are brilliant performers of contemporary music and do not shy away from non-academic experiments and cross-over projects. Among the ambitions of the orchestra is promotion of chamber symphony genre in Latvian music, therefore twice a year Sinfonietta Rīga commissions a new score.
Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga regularly collaborates with prominent European guest conductors – a number of different programmes have been staged in cooperation with Paavo and Kristjan Järvi, Heinz Holliger, John Storgårds, Christoph Poppen, Juha Kangas, Risto Joost and Tõnu Kaljuste.
Along with active concert life in Latvia and the other two Baltic States, Sinfonietta Rīga has performed in Paris, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Lincoln Center in New York, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, De Doelen in Rotterdam and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdamm as well as at the Philharmonic Halls in Kiev and St. Petersburg.
For its musical and cultural contribution the Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga has received the coveted national seal of approval – the Great Music Award of Latvia – three times. Its participation in the recording of Adam’s Lament by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, released by ECM, brought the orchestra a Grammy Award in 2014. Sinfonietta Rīga has recorded ten additional albums that have been released by its devoted partners Wergo, Ondine, Onyx, Edition Records, Challenge Records. The latest recording upon Latvian National Record Label Skani will be released on May 18 this Year.
