Opera AIDA by Giuseppe Verdi

Verdi’s late work is one of the masterpieces of opera history – light and darkness, love and hate, triumph and defeat, hope and death all stand alongside one another. The LNO production, designed by the outstanding Latvian artist Ilmārs Blumbergs, resembles a giant painting, the colors and shapes of which evoke the majesty of Ancient Egipt.

Performed in Italian, surtitled in English, Latvian.
