Latvian Dance Concert “White”

White. The beginning and continuation of everything. At once asceticism and saturation. The Latvian, in which the foundations of Latvian folk wisdom and a search for a new era are mingled. 

The concert of new dance, which has been created with new music, new choreography and a new artistic approach, blends stage dance and Latvian performance. Woven through it is a white thread as the path from which to begin, take shape and  not stray, which serves both as the foundation and as constant growth.

A white canvas on which to draw, and a white thread from which to weave colourful patterns. This is the multifaceted work of 18 choreographers, featuring 18 new dances which reveal the seven essences crucial to a Latvian — childhood, nature, work, land, living, purity and being — reflecting the simultaneous diversity and purity of the Latvian.
