Jēkabpils Blūza dienas 2022

Two wonderful evenings filled with music, great people and amazing atmospehere. We invite you to international music festival “Jekabpils Blues days”, which will take place on August 12 and 13 in Latvia, Jekabpils.

Blues, Soul and R&B artists from, Sweden, Italy and Latvia will perform at the festival and bring grat mood to everyone who attends.

One of the artists who will perform at the festival, Anthony Basso, will take the stage together with the musicians of the "Latvian Blues Band", who are known as one of the greatest blues musicians in Europe in these days. Anthony - guitarist, singer and songwriter was born in 1989 in Italy and represents one of the most interesting talents on the international blues rock music scene today.

"The Rolling Stones meets ZZ Top, Otis Redding meets Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger meets Jimi Hendrix meets Neil Young," could describe Anthony, who has developed his signature sound of strong blues-rock, funk, a synthesis of soul and country music.

Legends of the Latvian rock'n'roll scene who leave no listener indifferent! It's Them - 'Big Al & The Jokers', who will rock the stage on Friday evening.

We will once again experience their brilliant performance with world-class musical and charismatic performance. If you've heard them live, you know what we're talking about. Big Al & The Jokers - they are nine highly professional musicians together with the unique soloist Algirdas Šuminskas, aka Big Al, who are able to interpret the world's best works in Jive, Swing, Rhythm'n'blues, Rock'n'roll, Jazz style in their characteristic attractive manner .

On Saturday evening, with a special program created for Jēkabpils Blues Days, Aija Andrejeva will take the stage together with the group "Very Cool People" and perform the program "Vibes of Woodstock", which will include compositions by Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin and other world-famous musicians. Band, together with singer Aija, are famous with energy, that they bring to the stage and professionalism in everything they do. 

The event will take place in a picturesque place near the Daugava - in the green area of ​​the Krustpils island. This is a popular location for events in Jēkabpils, it has become a popular walking destination for citizens and city guests. Here you have a wonderful view of the city panorama surrounded by the Daugava, and everyone can find inspiration both in calm and undisturbed rest and in modern and dynamic events.

Visitors are invited to come to "Jēkabpils Blues Days" with their folding chairs or blankets.
