VERY GOOD MOMENTS

Contemporary dance performance

The contemporary dance artists Elina Gedigan and Rudolf Gediņš and the visual artists Kristen Dzudzillo and Reinis Dzudzillo together created the performance “Very Good Moments” which is all about a third pair, Asya Bear and Walter Benjamin. This work references Benjamin's “Moscow diary” and is based on a dialogue between visual art and  movement art. Both couples are driven by the conviction that these forms of art complement each other in a totally holistic way. The performance resembles a wordless dialogue between the bodies of a man and a woman. Both are trapped not just in their relationship but also in a red cube on stage which highlights their unavoidable co-existence with it’s game-playing, absurdity, misunderstanding, anger, joy, sexuality, winter and summer.
