Sprīdītis, the young hero of Anna Brigadere’s story, travels the world, defeats his foes Lutausis and Sīkstulis, earns a kingdom and the hand of a princess, only to realise that the best place on Earth is home. This poignant message and story has inspired Latvian composers to write an overture, an opera, and a film score. Children’s musical friend LeNeSOn will introduce these works to the orchestra’s youngest audience. During the intermission, children can engage in creative activities, learn about musical instruments, and more.
