RAXTU RAXTI 2019 Latvijas svētku lielkoncerts

Traditionally, on November 18, the Raxtu Raxti Musical Society invites you to a song meeting at the Kipsala Hall at the Latvian Grand Concert, inviting you to celebrate the festival with a large and resounding crowd along with many well-known folk musicians in Latvia. This year the traditional Latvian festival big concert will take place in two parts. In the beginning, there will be a special music program "Raxtu Raxti", which will include many famous songs from the collective repertoire - both original music, compositions by Latvian composers in the style of folk music and, of course, versions of famous Latvian folk songs. As a special surprise this year the second part of the concert, where Latvian folk songs will be performed by an unprecedentedly large crowd - many renowned Latvian folk music instrument masters will join "Raxtu Raxti". There will be kokle, violin, harp and mandolin, bagpipes, various pipes, accordion and many more exotic musical instruments. The closing part of the concert is expected to be ambitious and entertaining singing with the audience. The concert is supported by Riga City Council. The “Latvian Festive Grand Concerts” will take place at Kipsala Hall at 10am. 2pm and 6pm. Tickets are available at “Biļešu paradīze” box offices and on the Internet at www.bilesuparadize.lv
