The world of dance theater craves to work with Jean-Christoph Maillot. His performances are played in Canada and the United States, Denmark and Germany, Switzerland and Sweden. It is a well-known fact that Maillot agrees transferring his ballets to other stages of the theatre, but the original works he stages only in one company - Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, which he himself founded and raised.

And it was only once that Maillot had made an exception - by staging "The Taming of the Shrew" in Moscow's Bolshoi Theater. In the music of Dmitri Shostakovich, Jean Christoph Maillot has found the qualities that blend in with his own work - beauty, artistic and extreme emotionality. Shakespeare's comedy - an effective storyline and interesting heroes ("The most important thing is to make the audience feel that this cat has found her match, and not to show a savage creature and her trainer," the choreographer says). He created a play that is subtle and funny, modern, erotic and somewhat glamorous, with a cascade of delightful roles and aftertaste, which can easily be described with the word "euphoria"!
