American ballet stars in Riga
On March 21 at 19:30 in Latvian National Opera a European bank “Rietumu Bank” invites classical music lovers to gala concert of the leading stars of the most famous theatres of the United States: Joffrey Ballet, Houston Ballet and the Miami City Ballet.
The program includes passages of both the classical ballet as Adolphe Adam's ballet "Giselle", Sergei Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet", Ludwig Minkus' ballet “Don Quixote” and “Paquita", as well as the compositions of modern dance as "Twilight" by Rachmaninoff Elégie, "Infra" with accompaniment of Max Richter's music, "Polyphonia" by Ligeti composition and others.
The US ballet brightest stars Dylan Gutierrez and Jeraldine Mendoza, Connor Walsh and Karina Gonzalez, Tricia Albertson and Jovani Furlan, Renain Cerdeiro and Jeanette Delgado perform brilliantly and dance to the highest standards the Grand Master’s Marius Petipa choreography, as well as the choreography of ballet masters of nowadays.
