Prince Tamino falls in love with Pamina, daughter of the Queen of the Night. But Pamina is kidnapped by the powerful sorcerer Sarastro. Together with the bird-catcher Papageno, Tamino heads out to save the girl. With the help of the magic flute, he overcomes the fear of death and proves his intelligence, patience, courage and perseverance, and the prince and princes can finally live happily ever after. This innovative, new production was created by director Margo Zālīte with our younger audiences in mind.
