The Baltic Musical Seasons Festival presents a unique opportunity to hear and see the performance by Antonio PAPPANO, one of the best conductors in the world and music director of The Royal Opera in London, and his Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Italy).

Antonio Pappano is a living legend in the music world. He was born in England, studied in the US, assisted the great Daniel Barenboim in Bayreuth, became the director of La Monnaie in Brussels at the age of 32 and soon afterwards was named the head of The Royal Opera becoming the youngest director in its history.

During his brilliant career, Antonio Pappano has led the best orchestras in the world. He received two Gramophone Awards, as well as Franco Abbiati and Classical BRIT Awards. Among many achievements of this famous conductor are the title of Knight Bachelor and the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Gold Medal.

Since 2005 he has been the conductor and director of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, a top-class symphony orchestra, which is considered Italy's brand.

At Dzintari, the audience will have a chance to enjoy some rarely performed pieces. The concert will include: Part I of The Creation oratorio Representation of Chaos by Joseph Haydn, the Symphony No. 1 Jeremiah by Leonard Bernstein and the Symphony No. 1 Titan by Gustav Mahler.
