For the 6th year in a row, Dzintari Concert Hall will host the most spectacular music event – “Jurmala Festival”.

A unique event will open the festival – “Sunrise concert” at Dzintari Beach, when at 4.00 am the outstanding Latvian organist Iveta Apkalna will perform organ music at the beach while the sun rises. This year the opening concert of Jurmala Festival will be dedicated to the world-famous Latvian conductor Mariss Jansons. Performed by the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and outstanding soloists, we will enjoy the symphonic poem “Death and Enlightenment” by Richard Strauss and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.

Maestro Raimonds Pauls, together with the Latvian Radio Big Band, will invite you to go for a beautiful walk through the pages of World Cinema Music, and the charming accordionist Ksenija Sidorova and British piano genius George Harliono will provide an outstanding performance at the concert “Piazzolla and Rachmaninoff”. The unique Latvia’s Centenary Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ainārs Rubiķis, together with outstanding world-renowned Latvian musicians – Reinis Zariņš, Ksenija Sidorova, Raimonds Ozols and Aleksandrs Antoņenko, will meet the new talents of Latvia at the concert “Born in Latvia”.

The fans of musicals will traditionally be entertained by the stars of the London programme “Gold Selection of Broadway Musicals”, and Jurmala Festival will be closed with the glamorous Gala Concert featuring the world-famous stars of opera houses Aleksandrs Antonenko, Alise Zinovjeva, Vladislavs Sulimskis and other artists.
