The Operetta festival GALA concert

In the operetta festival GALA concert a the newly renovated Ikšķile open-air concert hall you will hear the most beautiful operetta melodies. Participating in the GALA concert will be soloists from Italy (Anta Jankovska), Poland (Anna Choczaj and Emil Lawecki) and latvian favourites Sonora Vaice, Dainis Skutelis, Nauris Indzeris, Marlēna Keine, Emīls Kivlenieks, Laura Purena and others. Also performing will be the operetta orchestra conducted by Guntars Bernāts. At the closing of the festival there will be a waltz evening in which each and every one will have a chance to enjoy the charisma of waltz and polka.

In the cocnert you will hear hits from Emmerich Kálmán’s operetta “The The Csárdás Princess” as well as arias by Johann Strauss, Carl Millöcker, Robert Stolz and other composers of the Viennese operetta.
